‘SACRIFICES’ - Ossama Mohammed

A tree, a house, emptiness, isolation. The old patriarch is dying. He wants to pass on his name to one of his grandsons, but he can no longer recognise the children who are born. Three of his descendants, nameless, remain in this primitive world, wandering in search of pleasure and salvation.
During the discussion, Ossama Mohammed will also show excerpts from his other award-winning films.
Syrian filmmaker and screenwriter. He has directed three feature films, which have been selected or won awards at the Cannes Film Festival. His films have been censored by the Syrian authorities and have never been shown in Syria.
