Basta. Restituer un cinéma absent. – Lecture-performance (in french)

Can we archive films that do not exist? How can we restore cinema that was prevented from being made and never came to be, in the face of the violence of history? What steps can we take to preserve these damaged narratives without erasing their fragility or their struggles? From accumulations of excesses to hypotheses and fabrications, multiple narratives emerge from our research, archiving and programming efforts. This documentary presentation, composed of absent images and marginalised narratives, is an attempt to share their substance and movements, and to rethink our practices, moving towards constellation, collectivity and the explosion of boundaries, in order to connect, compose and articulate rather than divide.

Lea Morin is an independent programmer and researcher, she is dedicated to the preservation, circulation and study of fragile cinema (prevented, unfinished, non-aligned) as well as forms of struggle.
