CINE-CoNCERT- GRASS

An ethno-dramatic film from 1925, shot by the future directors of King Kong, which follows the transhumance of the Bakhtiaris nomads of Iran. As they discover the landscapes they travel through, the filmmakers compete in ingenuity to stage and capture as closely as possible the epic journey they have undertaken.
In an epic film concert, Isabelle Courroy and Shadi Fathi accompany the long expedition of this forgotten people, following the strings of their setâr and tar instruments and the long breath of the kaval flutes.
Presentation: Boris Petric (CNRS, FEE/CNE)
